The Ksport BKAC021-951CO SuperComp Big Brake Kit represents Ksport's most extreme bolt-on brake upgrade, engineered for enthusiasts seeking superior stopping power without the need for extensive vehicle modifications in most cases. Constructed from aircraft-grade billet aluminum, the SuperComp calipers feature a robust monoblock design, ensuring uniform wall thickness and maximum strength. Their differential bore, opposed-piston configuration utilizes larger pistons compared to the ProComp series, resulting in increased clamping force and more even pad wear. Each caliper weighs just over 7 lbs, contributing to a substantial reduction in unsprung weight. Additional features include machined-in protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons with high-temperature seals for reliable operation, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The kit incorporates 15-inch, 2-piece floating rotors that are cross-drilled and heat-treated. This design not only reduces rotating and unsprung weight but also allows the floating outer ring to self-center within the caliper, minimizing brake drag and promoting uniform pad application. The unique slot pattern effectively expels gases and pad debris, while the cross-drilled design helps dissipate heat more efficiently than slotted rotors, making them ideal for daily driving.
