The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide extreme stopping power for your Acura Integra (1997-2001). This kit represents the pinnacle of Ksport's brake upgrade offerings, building upon the Procomp kit with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, and an increased piston count. Designed as a sophisticated, bolt-on upgrade, it aims to install without requiring any vehicle modifications. Constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum, the one-piece forged calipers are lightweight, exceptionally strong, and resistant to corrosion. They utilize aluminum pistons for superior heat resistance. Complementing the calipers are CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that facilitate direct bolt-on installation to OEM locations. The kit features a floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer section of the rotor can shift slightly for better self-centering within the caliper. This reduces brake drag and enhances braking performance through more even pad application. Included in this kit are SC5 Street Pads, formulated for optimal performance on the street and occasional track use, offering a significant reduction in brake dust, noise, and rotor wear. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, providing a firmer pedal feel and quicker response by preventing line expansion under pressure. For customization, you can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers due to their cooler running characteristics.
