This advanced brake system incorporates cutting-edge technology to effectively reduce brake fade and ensure optimal performance by continuously cooling and refreshing the brake pad surface during use. The caliper itself is an extremely lightweight, one-piece design, CNC-machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration and weighs just over 5 pounds. Integrated protection grooves guard the bridge tubes, while aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard. The opposed piston caliper design enhances both pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Stainless-steel brake lines are utilized to eliminate line expansion under pressure, ensuring consistent pedal feel. Ksport employs a 2-piece disc assembly, which significantly reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping and braking surface cupping. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment for peak performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operating temperatures, while slotted rotors are ideal for vehicles experiencing more track use.
