The Ksport BKLX180-961SO SuperComp Big Brake Kit represents Ksport's most extreme bolt-on brake upgrade, meticulously engineered to provide unparalleled stopping power. Compared to the ProComp series, the SuperComp kit features larger calipers, rotors, increased piston count, and more brake pads. Key features include an 8-piston opposed-piston caliper design with differential bore configuration for enhanced pad wear and caliper rigidity. The calipers are machined from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet exceptionally strong and corrosion-resistant component. Aluminum pistons offer superior heat resistance, while high-temperature seals and stainless steel brake pad wear plates are standard. The kit also includes Ksport's D.O.T.-compliant stainless steel braided brake lines, which minimize line expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel and quicker response. The floating disc design prevents thermal stresses from causing warping or cupping, and the unique slot pattern aids in expelling gas and pad debris, thereby reducing braking noise. These rotors are heat-treated and balanced for consistent performance and are recommended for vehicles with frequent track use. The included NAOC ceramic brake pads offer an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F – 1,022°F, reduce brake dust by over 50%, and minimize noise and rotor wear.
