Its advanced design incorporates technology that significantly reduces brake fade and actively cools the brake pad surface during operation. Installation is streamlined, requiring minimal tools for most applications. The SuperComp caliper itself is a standout component, machined from aircraft-quality billet and weighing just over 7 lbs. It features a differential bore configuration with substantially larger aluminum pistons than Ksport's ProComp models. High-temperature seals and stainless steel brake pad wear plates are standard, enhancing both pad longevity and caliper rigidity through its opposed-piston design. This design also offers improved pad wear compared to OEM setups. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which minimizes both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating nature of the disc is crucial for managing thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing the rotor from warping or the braking surface from cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor not only reduces braking noise but also efficiently expels gas and pad debris. For optimal performance, every rotor is heat-treated and balanced before shipment. Customers can choose between cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily driving due to cooler operation, or slotted rotors, ideal for track use.
