Supercomp Big Brake Kit

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents the pinnacle of their brake upgrade offerings, engineered to deliver superior stopping power for the Mitsubishi Galant models from 1998 to 2003. This kit is designed as a sophisticated bolt-on solution, meaning no permanent vehicle modifications are required for installation. It builds upon the Procomp kit with enlarged calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with increased piston count for enhanced performance. The calipers themselves are precision-machined from a single billet of aerospace-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized within the calipers to better manage heat and maintain consistent operation under demanding conditions. Further enhancing performance and durability, the Supercomp kit features a floating two-piece rotor design. This allows the outer rotor section to self-center, minimizing drag and ensuring more even pad application for improved braking efficiency. Ksport includes their SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic material, to provide excellent braking performance for daily driving and occasional track use. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F - 1022°F. Installation is facilitated by CNC-machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets, which allow the larger Ksport calipers to bolt directly into the factory caliper bracket locations. Complementing the braking system are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines. These lines are crucial for preventing expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to standard rubber lines. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with production and delivery typically taking 4-6 weeks.
