The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered as the most extreme brake upgrade available, providing unparalleled stopping power for your Mitsubishi Lancer (2008-2017) without requiring vehicle modifications. This sophisticated bolt-on system builds upon the Procomp kit's benefits by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, brake pads, and an increased piston count. Standard full-floating rotors enhance self-centering within the caliper, reducing brake drag and boosting overall performance through more even application. The calipers themselves are a highlight of the Supercomp kit, featuring a one-piece construction from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum. This design ensures lightweight, unparalleled strength, and resistance to corrosion. Furthermore, the aluminum pistons within the calipers offer better heat resistance and maintain uncompromised operation under demanding conditions. The kit also includes CNC-machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets, which facilitate a direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket locations, accommodating the significantly larger Ksport calipers. This kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, which are formulated from NAOC Ceramic material. These pads offer optimal braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use. They significantly reduce brake dust (by 50% or more compared to race pads), minimize noise, and decrease rotor wear. The optimal operating temperature range for these pads is between 194°F and 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included as standard. These lines prevent expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to stock rubber lines. Customers can choose between Slotted or Cross Drilled rotors. Cross Drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they run cooler, while Slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that will see more track time.
