The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents their most extreme brake upgrade, engineered to deliver superior stopping power for the Mazda MX-6. This sophisticated, bolt-on system requires no vehicle modifications for installation, offering a significant performance enhancement. It builds upon the Procomp kit with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, as well as an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that promote better self-centering within the caliper. Constructed for durability and performance, the calipers are forged from a single piece of aerospace-quality aluminum, providing exceptional strength, light weight, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized for superior heat management. The floating two-piece rotor design allows the outer section to shift slightly, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and enhancing performance through more even application. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, which offer optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track conditions. These pads are designed to reduce brake dust by over 50%, minimize noise, and decrease rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel compared to standard rubber lines. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with cross-drilled recommended for daily drivers due to cooler operation, and slotted for more frequent track use.
