The Ksport Supercomp 8-Piston Big Brake Kit represents the pinnacle of braking system upgrades for the Mazda 5 (2005-2010). It builds upon Ksport's Procomp kit with larger calipers, 400mm slotted two-piece floating rotors, and enhanced brake pads, all designed to work harmoniously for superior performance. Construction highlights include one-piece forged aluminum calipers, chosen for their lightweight strength and resistance to corrosion. These calipers house aluminum pistons, which offer superior heat dissipation and reliable operation under demanding conditions. The accompanying carbon steel caliper brackets are CNC-machined to ensure a precise fit onto the OEM caliper bracket locations. The two-piece floating rotor design allows for slight adjustments, improving self-centering within the caliper, reducing brake drag, and optimizing brake application for enhanced performance. This Supercomp kit includes Ksport's SC5 Street Brake Pads, which provide excellent braking performance for both street driving and occasional track use. They are formulated to reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while also minimizing noise and rotor wear. The kit also features D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which eliminate line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. The standard kit includes two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece slotted rotors (400mm diameter, 36mm width), one set of SC5 street brake pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware.
