The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit offers an ultimate solution for enhanced stopping power, integrating advanced brake technology to combat brake fade and maintain consistent cooling of the brake pads. The SuperComp caliper, a standout component of this kit, is precision-machined from aircraft-quality billet and features a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers. Weighing just over 7lbs each, these calipers include machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features across all caliper designs are aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design fundamentally enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM setups. Furthermore, the integrated stainless steel brake lines ensure stability by preventing expansion under hydraulic pressure. This kit incorporates a 2-piece floating disc assembly, a design choice that effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating disc configuration also mitigates thermal stresses generated by extreme heat, preventing disc warping and cupping of the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design that significantly diminishes braking noise and promotes faster expulsion of gas and pad debris compared to conventional slotting patterns. Each rotor undergoes rigorous heat treatment and balancing prior to shipment to guarantee peak performance. For daily driven vehicles, the cross-drilled rotors offer improved cooling. Slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that experience more track use than daily driving.
