The Ksport BKAU060-437CO SuperComp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide a substantial improvement in stopping performance compared to factory brakes. This comprehensive, bolt-on system integrates cutting-edge rotor technology, multi-piston calipers, and specialized brake pads. Its design actively combats brake fade and ensures continuous cooling and refreshment of the pad surface during aggressive braking, making it equally effective for daily driving and demanding track environments. The caliper construction features a robust one-piece design, CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminum. This method ensures uniform wall thickness and maximum strength, avoiding casting or welding. A differential bore configuration provides balanced clamping force, while aluminum pistons offer corrosion resistance, reduced weight, and superior heat tolerance. High-temperature seals and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates are standard. The opposed-piston design enhances pad wear consistency and caliper rigidity over OEM setups. The kit utilizes a two-piece floating rotor assembly. This design allows the outer rotor ring to self-center within the caliper, minimizing brake drag and ensuring consistent pad contact. The floating mechanism also prevents thermal stress warping and cupping of the braking surface under extreme heat. Rotors are heat-treated and precision balanced, offered in cross-drilled for street use or slotted for track performance. The unique slot geometry helps minimize noise and efficiently clear pad debris. Included in the kit are D.O.T.-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which resist expansion under pressure for a firmer pedal feel. CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets allow for direct bolt-on installation to factory mounting points with minimal vehicle modifications required in most cases. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads (NAOC Ceramic), suitable for street and occasional track use, with an operating range of 194°F–1022°F and reduced dust. For extreme track conditions, RC5 Race Pads (Carbon Metallic) with an operating range of 482°F–1472°F are available separately and not recommended for street use. This kit includes calipers, floating 2-piece brake discs, brake pads, stainless-steel braided brake lines, caliper brackets, and all necessary installation hardware. All Ksport Big Brake Kits are backed by a 12-month warranty against manufacturer defects. OEM ABS systems remain fully functional. This specific kit is designed for the rear position and features 4-piston orange calipers with 13-inch cross-drilled rotors.
