The KSport SuperComp Big Brake Kit represents K-Sport's most extreme brake upgrade, engineered to deliver unparalleled stopping power for your 2016-2018 Mazda Miata. This kit is designed for performance and racing applications, featuring 356mm (14-inch) 2-piece vented rotors with a drilled style and a cast iron construction. The calipers are precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring exceptional lightness, strength, and resistance to corrosion. They house 8 pistons made of aluminum, which contribute to better heat management and smoother braking action. The opposed-piston caliper design is crucial for maximizing pad grip and minimizing uneven wear, while heavy-duty caliper seals are incorporated for sustained high-temperature track use. Reinforced carbon steel caliper brackets allow for direct bolt-on installation to existing mounting points without requiring modifications. Benefits extend to the rotor design as well, with a 2-piece construction that includes an aluminum center. This design reduces rotational mass, leading to quicker braking response and shorter stopping distances. Furthermore, the 2-piece configuration allows for more unrestricted expansion and contraction of the outer iron section, significantly reducing the chance of rotor warpage.
