Overview

The Ksport SuperComp big brake kit provides ultimate stopping power for your vehicle. Integrating new brake technology, this kit significantly reduces brake fade and cools the brake pad surface during braking. The SuperComp caliper is extremely lightweight, made from aircraft-quality billet, and features larger pistons than ProComp calipers.

This kit includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity. Stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The SuperComp systems feature a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, and to prevent warping from extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotor expels gas and pad debris faster and reduces braking noise. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance.

The SuperComp caliper itself is a marvel of engineering, machined from aircraft-quality billet to be extremely lightweight (just over 7 lbs each) while incorporating a differential bore configuration with pistons significantly larger than those found in Ksport's ProComp calipers. Construction details emphasize durability and performance. The caliper boasts aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates, ensuring longevity and consistent performance. The opposed piston caliper design offers substantial improvements in pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. Furthermore, the inclusion of stainless steel brake lines prevents hose expansion under pressure, providing a firmer pedal feel. For enhanced heat dissipation and reduced weight, the SuperComp systems utilize a 2-piece floating disc assembly. This design not only minimizes rotating and unsprung mass but also mitigates thermal stresses that can lead to rotor warping or surface cupping. Each rotor undergoes rigorous heat treatment and balancing before shipment to guarantee optimal performance right out of the box. While cross-drilled rotors offer cooler operation and are recommended for daily driven vehicles, the slotted rotors in this kit are particularly suited for vehicles that experience more track use.
