The Ksport BKNS161-447SO Supercomp Big Brake Kit is a sophisticated bolt-on brake upgrade engineered to deliver the highest level of stopping power with significantly reduced brake fade. This kit is designed for both spirited street driving and demanding track use, offering a choice of 4, 6, or 8 piston caliper configurations to match your performance requirements. Each caliper is CNC machined from a single solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, offering superior strength and a weight savings of approximately 5 lbs per caliper compared to OEM units. The one-piece construction eliminates weak spots, preventing fracturing or warping. These calipers feature aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM single-piston setups. The two-piece floating rotor design contributes to reduced rotating and unsprung weight. The floating outer rotor allows for better self-centering within the caliper, which lowers brake drag and promotes more even pad application. This design also prevents thermal stresses from warping the disc. Rotors are available in either cross-drilled or slotted styles; slotted rotors are recommended for track and high-performance applications due to their ability to better disperse heat and braking gases without increasing pad wear. This kit includes D.O.T.-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent line expansion under pressure, leading to a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. The included NAOC Ceramic Brake Pads are optimized for street and occasional track use, operating effectively between 194°F and 1,022°F. These pads are designed to reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while minimizing rotor wear and noise.
