Overview

The Ksport Procomp Big Brake Kit is a bolt-on upgrade designed for the Honda Prelude BB1 (1992-1996). It enhances brake power under sustained high-heat conditions. The calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, featuring aluminum pistons for better heat resistance. This kit includes 330mm (13-inch) slotted rotors and 8-piston calipers. It is noted that Ksport Big Brake kits fit 2WD vehicles only unless otherwise stated.

The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit provides the ultimate in stopping power for your vehicle, utilizing advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and refresh the brake pad surface under demanding conditions. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, weighing just over 7lbs, is machined from aircraft quality billet and features a differential bore configuration with substantially larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers. It incorporates integrated protection grooves for the bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates as standard. The caliper's opposed piston design enhances pad wear and offers superior rigidity over stock calipers, complemented by stainless steel brake lines that resist expansion under pressure. SuperComp systems are equipped with a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design effectively mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The product description notes that cross-drilled rotors generally run cooler than slotted rotors and are recommended for daily driven vehicles, while slotted rotors are advised for vehicles experiencing more track use.
