The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents Ksport's most extreme brake upgrade, engineered to deliver unparalleled stopping power for your Toyota MR2 (1987-1989). Designed as a sophisticated, direct bolt-on solution, it requires no vehicle modifications for installation, simplifying the upgrade process. This kit features larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads compared to Ksport's Procomp line, along with increased piston count. The standard full-floating rotors enhance caliper self-centering, which reduces brake drag and improves overall performance through more consistent application. The calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight strength and corrosion resistance, and utilize aluminum pistons for superior heat management. You can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, formulated for optimal street and occasional track conditions, offering a 50% reduction in brake dust and noise compared to race pads, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Additionally, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, providing a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel by preventing line expansion under pressure.
