The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is an extreme brake upgrade engineered to deliver the highest level of stopping power for your Volvo V40. Designed as a sophisticated bolt-on system, it requires no vehicle modifications for installation. This kit surpasses standard upgrades by incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with increased piston sizes and full-floating rotors for enhanced self-centering. The calipers are meticulously crafted from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring both lightweight construction and unparalleled strength while resisting corrosion. Key features of the Supercomp Big Brake Kit include one-piece forged aluminum calipers, which offer superior strength and longevity over cast or welded alternatives, preventing weak spots that can lead to failure. These calipers utilize aluminum pistons with heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding high temperatures, ensuring consistent pad wear and uncompromised operation. The opposed-piston design further contributes to even brake pad grip and wear. The kit utilizes lightweight two-piece rotors, available in either Cross Drilled or Slotted designs. The two-piece design, featuring a lightweight aluminum center section, reduces rotational mass and allows the rotor to expand and contract independently, minimizing warping from heat buildup. Included in the standard kit are forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), SC5 street brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware.
