The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents their most extreme brake upgrade, engineered to deliver unparalleled stopping power for the Volvo V40 and S40 (1995-2004) without requiring vehicle modifications for installation. This sophisticated, bolt-on system enhances the performance of the Procomp kit with larger calipers, rotors, brake pads, and an increased piston count. It also features standard full-floating rotors for improved self-centering within the caliper. Constructed from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, the one-piece calipers are exceptionally lightweight, strong, and resistant to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are integrated for superior heat resistance and consistent operation. The floating two-piece rotor design allows for slight movement, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and boosting performance. This kit includes SC5 Street Brake Pads, offering optimal performance for street driving and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, providing a quicker pedal response and firmer pedal feel by preventing expansion under pressure. Buyers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors, with cross-drilled recommended for daily drivers due to better cooling, and slotted for track use. Standard kit contents include two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors (slotted or drilled), one set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware.
