SuperComp Big Brake Kit

The Ksport SuperComp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide the ultimate in stopping power for your vehicle, specifically designed for the Volkswagen B5 Passat. This kit incorporates advanced brake technology aimed at significantly reducing brake fade and continuously cooling and refreshing the brake pad surface. The SuperComp caliper is an extreme lightweight component forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration and larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs each and includes features like machined protection grooves, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, each one utilizes four brake pads. This kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The rotors feature a unique slot design to reduce braking noise and expel gas and pad debris efficiently. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are standard and recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors, which are better suited for track use. Standard configuration includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads designed for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions with operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. They reduce brake dust by over 50% and minimize noise and rotor wear compared to race pads. Optional RC5 Race Pads, made of carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F and are not recommended for street use. This big brake kit is made to order and is non-refundable. It is compatible with the 1998-2005 Volkswagen Passat B5 models, including TDi, V6 30v (4Motion and FWD), and W8 engines. All Ksport big brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
