The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is a high-performance front braking system specifically designed for the Volkswagen MK2 Jetta models (1985-1992) with 16v, 8v, or Diesel engines. This kit includes massive 421mm x 36mm rotors and a powerful 8-piston caliper forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. The SuperComp calipers are designed with a differential bore configuration, larger pistons for increased stopping power, and feature aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the included stainless-steel braided brake lines prevent expansion under pressure for improved pedal feel and quicker response. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces rotating and unsprung weight, while also preventing thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and expels debris, and cross-drilled rotors are standard, recommended for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors. You can choose between Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, made from NAOC ceramic for optimal street and occasional track performance, or their RC5 Race Pads, a carbon metallic compound designed for extreme track conditions. All Ksport Big Brake Kits are made-to-order and are non-refundable. Customization options include various caliper colors, rotor styles (cross-drilled or slotted), street or race pads, and optional center bell upgrades.
