By integrating new brake technology, these kits significantly reduce brake fade and actively cool and refresh the brake pad surface during braking, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding conditions. The extreme lightweight one-piece caliper is CNC machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration. This advanced design not only minimizes weight (just over 5lbs each) but also includes machined-in protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design substantially improves pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM designs, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Ksport utilizes a two-piece disc assembly to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. Many applications offer a floating disc option to mitigate thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping under extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotor effectively reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more rapidly than conventional designs. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler operation, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use.
