Supercomp Big Brake Kit Front 400mm Drilled Rotor Orange Caliper

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is an extreme front brake upgrade engineered for the BMW E28 5-Series (1982-1988 models including 524td, 528e, 533i, and 535i). This kit provides the ultimate in stopping power, integrating new brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and features differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM designs, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper size, each caliper requires four brake pads. The kit includes Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stress from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and expels gas and pad debris efficiently. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are standard and recommended for daily-driven vehicles, offering cooler operation compared to slotted rotors. This specific kit comes with a 400mm drilled rotor and is shown with an orange caliper, though other color options are available. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are designed for optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions, with reduced dust and noise. An option for Ksport RC5 Race Pads is also available for extreme track conditions. The kit is made to order and is non-refundable.
