Supercomp Big Brake Kit, Front 400mm Rotor

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to deliver ultimate stopping power for your BMW E39 5-Series. This front big brake system integrates new brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool and refresh the brake pad surface during braking. The SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, features larger pistons, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces rotating and unsprung weight, while also minimizing thermal stress from extreme heat. The unique slot design on the rotor helps reduce braking noise and expels gas and pad debris efficiently. Cross-drilled rotors are standard and recommended for daily driven vehicles, as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors, which are better suited for track use. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking performance under street and occasional track conditions, with a reduced amount of brake dust, noise, and rotor wear compared to race pads. Optional Race Pads (carbon metallic) are available for vehicles seeing more track time. It is important to note that the SuperComp Big Brake Kits are made to order and are non-refundable. The kit fits the BMW 5 Series E39 (1996-2003) with M54 2.5L, M52 2.8L, M54 3.0L, and M62 4.4L engines.
