The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide the ultimate in stopping power for your BMW E46 M3. This advanced brake system incorporates cutting-edge technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool and refresh the brake pad surface during intense braking. At the core of this upgrade is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. This caliper features differential bore configurations and significantly larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs each. It includes standard features such as aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the integrated stainless-steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure. Each caliper in the SuperComp series requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly designed to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping of the braking surface under extreme heat. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris, outperforming conventional designs. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are ideal for daily-driven vehicles, offering cooler operation, while slotted rotors are recommended for more aggressive track use.
