The Ksport Supercomp Front Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide the ultimate stopping power for your BMW E61 5-Series. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads during intense braking situations. The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration with larger pistons for massive stopping power. Its lightweight design, weighing just over 7 lbs each, incorporates machined protection grooves, high-temperature seals, titanium retainer clips, and stainless steel wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while the included D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines resist expansion under pressure, leading to improved pedal feel and quicker response. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, while also mitigating thermal stresses that can cause disc warping. The unique slot design on the rotor helps reduce braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are suggested for more track-oriented use. Standard with the kit are Ksport SC5 Street Pads, constructed from NAOC ceramic material, designed for optimal performance between 194°F – 1022°F, offering a 50% reduction in dust and less noise/wear compared to race pads. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads, made of carbon metallic material, are available for extreme track conditions but are not recommended for street use due to their higher optimal operating temperature range. Ksport Big Brake Kits are made to order and are non-refundable. This specific kit is designed for the BMW 5 Series E60/E61 (2004-2010) 535xi with the N54 3.0L engine. The kit includes calipers, floating brake discs, brake pads, brake lines, and all necessary hardware for installation with minimal tools required in most applications. A 12-month limited warranty covers manufacturer defects.
