The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide superior stopping power for your Porsche 996 911 C2. The systems are intended for straightforward installation with minimal tools required for most applications. At the core of this kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7lbs each and incorporating machined protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while the included stainless-steel braided brake lines help to eliminate line expansion under pressure, leading to improved pedal feel and quicker response. Due to the caliper's size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. The kit includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads optimized for street and occasional track use. The kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance, with cross-drilled options recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler running temperatures, while slotted rotors are better suited for track-focused use.
