The Ksport Supercomp Rear Big Brake Kit offers enhanced stopping power for your Porsche 964 and 911 C2. The SuperComp caliper is an extreme lightweight design, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs each and includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design improves pad wear and caliper rigidity, while the stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating disc design also mitigates thermal stresses caused by extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor helps reduce braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. This specific kit comes with cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their tendency to run cooler than slotted rotors. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads and offer reduced noise and rotor wear. An option for Ksport RC5 Race Pads (carbon metallic) is available for extreme track conditions, though not recommended for street use due to their higher operating temperature range.
