The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents the pinnacle of braking performance upgrades for your Honda Del Sol (1993-1997). At its core, the Supercomp kit boasts larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads compared to the Procomp series, featuring an increased number of pistons for superior braking force. The calipers are constructed from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring they are lightweight, exceptionally strong, and resistant to corrosion. These calipers also incorporate aluminum pistons for enhanced heat resistance and reliable operation. The kit includes Ksport's floating two-piece rotor design, where the outer rotor section can adjust slightly for better self-centering within the caliper. This design minimizes brake drag and optimizes braking performance through more even pad application. For street driving and occasional track use, the kit comes standard with NAOC Ceramic SC5 Street Pads, which offer reduced dust (by 50% or more), less noise, and lower rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F. Further enhancing the braking experience are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which reduce line expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler.
