Supercomp Big Brake Kit w/ 2-Piece Floating Disc

This kit features an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. This caliper boasts a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp models, weighing just over 7lbs each and incorporating protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and rigidity compared to OEM setups, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, each unit utilizes four brake pads. The SuperComp systems include a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses that can lead to disc warping or surface cupping under extreme heat. The rotors feature a unique slot design that minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. The kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use, with an option to upgrade to Ksport RC5 Race Pads for extreme track conditions. All Ksport big brake kits are made-to-order and are non-refundable. The kit is compatible with BMW Z Series E36 (1996-2002) Z3 models, including the 1.9, 2.3, 2.5i, 2.8, and 3.0i engine variants.
