Description

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit represents the pinnacle of braking performance upgrades, engineered to deliver unparalleled stopping power for your Acura RSX DC5 (2002-2006, Type S model). This sophisticated bolt-on system integrates seamlessly without the need for vehicle modifications. It builds upon the Procomp kit's capabilities with larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, alongside an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors for enhanced self-centering and reduced drag. The calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum using a one-piece forged monoblock design. This construction method ensures lightweight strength, exceptional durability, and resistance to corrosion. Inside, aluminum pistons provide superior heat management for consistent performance. The kit features CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that facilitate direct bolt-on installation to your OEM caliper bracket locations. Standard on the Supercomp system are floating two-piece rotors, available in either slotted or cross-drilled options. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use due to their heat dissipation properties, while cross-drilled rotors are better suited for daily driven vehicles. The kit includes Ksport's SC5 Street Pads, formulated for optimal performance under street and occasional track conditions, offering reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also included, which resist expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Key specifications include a rotor diameter of 356mm (14 inches) and a width of 32mm. The kit comes complete with two forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, two lightweight two-piece rotors, a set of SC5 Street Brake Pads, two stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware.
