SuperComp Big Brake Kit w/ Opposed Piston Calipers

The SuperComp caliper is an extreme lightweight component, machined from aircraft-quality billet, and weighs just over 7lbs. It features a differential bore configuration with much larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. Standard on this caliper are aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design offers substantial improvements in pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while the included stainless steel brake lines ensure a firm pedal by preventing expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, four brake pads are standard per caliper. This SuperComp system includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which offers the dual benefit of reducing both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing the disc from warping or the braking surface from cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor is optimized to reduce braking noise and more efficiently expel gas and pad debris compared to conventional designs. Every rotor undergoes heat treatment and balancing before shipment to ensure peak performance. Slotted rotors, like those included in this kit, are recommended for vehicles primarily used for track driving, whereas cross-drilled rotors are better suited for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler.
