Overview

This kit features an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, machined from aircraft quality billet, with larger pistons than ProComp calipers. It also includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly with unique slot designs for reduced noise and improved heat dissipation. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure.

The SuperComp calipers are crafted from aircraft-quality billet, featuring a differential bore configuration and larger pistons for enhanced performance. These calipers are extremely lightweight, weighing just over 7 lbs each, and incorporate protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design offers improved pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to stock. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stress from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The unique rotor slot design minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris, outperforming conventional slot designs. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Slotted rotors, as featured in this kit, are recommended for vehicles that see more track use. However, specific fitment details should always be verified for your vehicle. This big brake kit is designed for 2WD vehicles only, unless otherwise specified. It is confirmed to fit the Volvo 850 Turbo FWD models from 1992-1997.
