Supercomp Big Brake Kit with Slotted Rotors

The Ksport Supercomp Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide ultimate stopping power for your Mercedes-Benz SLK R171 (2004-2011) 280 and 350 models. This advanced braking system utilizes a Super 8 Pot caliper design, featuring a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons than standard ProComp calipers. Machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, each caliper weighs just over 7lbs and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel pad wear plates. The opposed-piston caliper design significantly enhances pad grip and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while the stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The large, 421mm slotted rotors are a 2-piece floating design with an aluminum center, reducing rotational mass, improving braking response, and minimizing the chance of rotor warpage by allowing for freer expansion and contraction. The unique slot design on the rotor actively reduces braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Ksport recommends slotted rotors for vehicles experiencing more track use than daily driving, as the grooves on the rotor surface help to wipe away heat, dust, and gases.
