The Ksport Supercomp BMW 5 Series Big Brake System represents the pinnacle of braking upgrades, engineered for maximum stopping performance without necessitating any vehicle modifications. This sophisticated, bolt-on solution integrates larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, featuring an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors that enhance self-centering within the caliper. The calipers are precision-machined from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet incredibly strong and corrosion-resistant component. Within these calipers, aluminum pistons are utilized for superior heat management and reliable operation, complemented by high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear on both sides of the rotor. The two-piece design significantly reduces weight compared to OEM rotors and minimizes warping due to heat expansion. For track-focused vehicles, slotted rotors are recommended for wiping away heat, dust, and gases, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers due to cooler running temperatures. The 'full floating' rotor design allows the outer section to shift, improving self-centering, reducing brake drag, and boosting performance through more even application. The standard kit comes complete with forged, monoblock aluminum calipers (8-piston for 13-inch and 14-inch systems), lightweight two-piece rotors, SC5 street brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting components and hardware. Optional upgrades to RCI Race Pads and custom caliper colors are available. Ksport offers a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturer defects.
