The Ksport Supercomp Volvo V50 Big Brake System represents the pinnacle of brake upgrades, engineered to deliver exceptional stopping power without necessitating any modifications to your vehicle. This kit elevates your braking performance with larger calipers, rotors, and pads, complemented by an increased piston count. The full-floating rotor design ensures optimal self-centering within the caliper, minimizing drag and maximizing performance. Constructed from aerospace-quality aluminum, the one-piece forged calipers are exceptionally lightweight and robust, eliminating weak points that can lead to failure. The aluminum pistons, paired with high-temperature seals and titanium retainer clips, ensure consistent operation and heat resistance even under demanding conditions. The opposed-piston design guarantees even brake pad wear and grip. This system utilizes two-piece rotors, available in slotted or cross-drilled configurations, to reduce weight and prevent fade. The lightweight center sections, crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, contribute to a lower rotational mass for improved responsiveness. The two-piece design also allows for independent expansion and contraction of the rotor and center section, significantly reducing the risk of warping due to heat. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for peak performance. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are advised for track-focused applications due to their ability to wipe away heat, dust, and gases. The standard kit includes forged, monoblock aluminum calipers, lightweight two-piece rotors, SC5 street brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting hardware and brackets. Stainless-steel braided brake lines are D.O.T compliant, preventing expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. Ksport Big Brake Kits come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects. This system is appropriate for 17-inch wheels and above.
