SuperComp Caliper

The system continuously cools and refreshes the brake pad surface during braking, maintaining optimal pad effectiveness and extending pad life. At the core of this kit is the SuperComp caliper, a lightweight component machined from aircraft-quality billet. It features a differential bore design and significantly larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers, providing enhanced clamping force. The caliper construction includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. Its opposed piston design significantly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over stock components, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. This SuperComp system utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design also mitigates thermal stresses caused by extreme heat, preventing disc warping and cupping of the braking surface. The unique rotor slot design actively reduces braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. For daily driven vehicles, cross-drilled rotors are recommended for cooler operation, while slotted rotors are ideal for track-focused use. This specific kit is designed for the 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type R.
