SuperComp Caliper

At the core of this system is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, which features a differential bore configuration and substantially larger pistons compared to their ProComp calipers. Machined from aircraft-quality billet, each caliper weighs just over 7 lbs and incorporates protective grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features across the caliper design include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design offers marked improvements in pad wear and caliper rigidity when compared to the OEM setup, while the included stainless steel brake lines prevent hose expansion under pressure. The SuperComp systems utilize a 2-piece floating disc assembly that effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses from extreme heat, preventing disc warping or cupping of the braking surface. The rotors feature a unique slot design that significantly reduces braking noise and accelerates the expulsion of gas and pad debris compared to conventional slot designs. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment to ensure optimal performance. While cross-drilled rotors run cooler and are recommended for daily drivers, slotted rotors, as featured in this kit, are recommended for vehicles intended for more track use than daily driving.
