SuperComp Caliper

The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, weighing just over 7lbs, is meticulously machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. Protection grooves are integrated into the caliper design for added durability. Standard features on each caliper include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design inherently improves pad wear and enhances caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assembly is included, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stress from extreme heat, preventing disc warping and cupping of the braking surface. The unique slot design on the rotor not only reduces braking noise but also expedites the expulsion of gas and pad debris, outperforming conventional slot designs. For optimal performance, every rotor is heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment. Slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles that see more track use, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers as they tend to run cooler.
