Standard features include aluminum pistons for better heat resistance, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design critically improves pad wear and offers superior rigidity over stock setups. Furthermore, D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are included, which eliminate line expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design also mitigates thermal stresses that can lead to rotor warping or cupping under extreme heat. Customers can choose between slotted or cross-drilled rotors; cross-drilled are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to better cooling, while slotted rotors are advised for more track-oriented use as they expel gas and debris more effectively. The unique slot design also contributes to reducing braking noise. All rotors are heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment. The kit includes NAOC Ceramic (SC5 Street Pads), offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track conditions. These pads are designed to reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, while also minimizing noise and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F - 1022°F.
