SuperComp Caliper Kit

This braking system integrates cutting-edge technology to significantly reduce brake fade and ensure continuous cooling and refreshing of the brake pad surface during aggressive use. At the heart of this system is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, precision-machined from aircraft-quality billet. It features a differential bore configuration with substantially larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers, weighing just over 7 lbs each and incorporating protective grooves for bridge tubes. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to the caliper's size, four brake pads are standard per caliper in the ProComp series, but the SuperComp systems come standard with a 2-piece floating disc assembly. This floating disc design reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, and crucially, it mitigates thermal stresses caused by extreme heat, preventing the disc from warping or the braking surface from becoming compromised. The kit includes rotors with a unique slot design that effectively reduces braking noise and more rapidly expels gas and pad debris than conventional designs. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. While cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers due to cooler running temperatures, these slotted rotors are specifically advised for vehicles that see more track time than daily use. The overall design ensures a significant upgrade in braking capability, providing confidence and control under demanding conditions.
