This sophisticated, bolt-on upgrade significantly enhances braking performance by integrating advanced technology that reduces brake fade and continually cools and refreshes the brake pad surface during use. At the core of this kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, meticulously machined from aircraft-quality billet. It boasts a differential bore configuration with substantially larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers, ensuring superior stopping force. Weighing just over 7 lbs each, these calipers feature built-in protection grooves for bridge tubes, along with standard components like aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design dramatically improves pad wear and enhances caliper rigidity over the factory setup, while the included stainless steel brake lines resist expansion under pressure, maintaining consistent braking feel. This SuperComp system includes Ksport's 2-piece floating disc assemblies, which effectively reduce both rotating and unsprung weight, contributing to better vehicle dynamics. The floating design also mitigates thermal stresses that can lead to disc warping or braking surface cupping under extreme heat. The rotors are equipped with a unique slot design that minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris, outperforming conventional slot designs. Each rotor undergoes heat treatment and balancing for peak performance. For daily driven vehicles, the cross-drilled rotors offer improved cooling, whereas slotted rotors are recommended for those with more track-oriented driving habits.
