SuperComp Extreme Lightweight Caliper

The SuperComp caliper itself is a marvel of engineering, machined from aircraft-quality billet aluminum for extreme lightweight performance (just over 7 lbs.) while incorporating larger pistons than standard ProComp calipers. It includes aluminum caliper pistons for corrosion resistance and lighter weight, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel wear plates. The opposed-piston caliper design enhances pad grip and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Complementing the caliper, the stainless steel brake lines ensure consistent performance by preventing hose expansion under pressure. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotational and unsprung weight, and allows for better self-centering within the caliper to minimize brake drag and improve overall performance. The unique slot design on the rotor helps expel gas and pad debris efficiently. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance, with cross-drilled options available for cooler operation and drilled rotors recommended for daily driven vehicles. For street use, SC5 Street pads with a low-dust ceramic compound are recommended, while RC1 Race Pads are available for track-focused applications. It is specifically designed for the Toyota Celica ST185 GT Four models from 1990-1993, featuring front 380mm rotors and 8-piston calipers.
