SuperComp Extreme Lightweight Caliper Kit

The SuperComp caliper, a key component, is exceptionally lightweight, machined from aircraft-quality billet, and features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7lbs and includes protection grooves for bridge tubes, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. SuperComp systems utilize a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce rotating and unsprung weight, and to mitigate thermal stresses that can cause warping. The unique slot design on the rotors helps minimize braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Slotted rotors are recommended for track use, while cross-drilled are suggested for daily drivers. This kit is specifically designed for the Aston Martin DB9 model years 2004-2016, and requires the vehicle to have OE 4-pot calipers. Ksport Big Brake kits generally fit 2WD vehicles unless otherwise specified. Ksport products are intended for Race Only and off-road use, limited to formally sanctioned racing events.
