Overview

It features new brake technology to reduce brake fade and continually cool the brake pads. The kit includes an extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, machined from aircraft quality billet, which is lighter than their ProComp calipers and includes protection grooves. The opposed piston caliper design improves pad wear and rigidity over OEM designs, and stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. The SuperComp systems come standard with a 2-piece floating disc assembly to reduce rotational and unsprung weight, and to prevent thermal stresses from warping the disc.

This sophisticated bolt-on upgrade integrates advanced brake technology, significantly reducing brake fade and ensuring the brake pad surface is continually refreshed during braking. The centerpiece of the kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper. Machined from aircraft-quality billet, it features a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. This design enhances brake pad wear and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. Furthermore, stainless steel brake lines are included to prevent expansion under pressure, ensuring consistent braking performance. The SuperComp systems utilize a 2-piece floating disc assembly. This design reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, contributing to better vehicle dynamics. The floating disc also mitigates thermal stresses that can lead to disc warping or braking surface cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor effectively reduces braking noise and expels gas and pad debris more efficiently than conventional designs. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Ksport recommends slotted rotors for vehicles prioritizing track use over daily driving, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily-driven vehicles seeking cooler operation.
