SuperComp Extreme Lightweight Caliper Kit

The kit features Ksport's extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, which is machined from aircraft quality billet and weighs just over 7 lbs. This caliper boasts a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, enhancing braking force. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design inherently increases pad wear efficiency and caliper rigidity compared to OEM systems. Integrated stainless steel brake lines are crucial for performance, as they prevent hose expansion under pressure, ensuring consistent braking feel. The SuperComp systems include a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which not only minimizes both rotating and unsprung weight but also mitigates the risk of disc warping or cupping caused by thermal stresses from extreme heat. Each rotor is heat-treated and balanced prior to shipment to guarantee peak performance. The SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads per caliper due to its size. While cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, the slotted rotors included in this kit are specifically recommended for vehicles that see more track use than daily driving.
