SuperComp Extreme Lightweight Caliper Kit

The Ksport SuperComp Front Big Brake Kit represents the pinnacle of stopping power for your vehicle, integrating advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously refresh the brake pad surface. The extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper is the centerpiece of this kit, boasting a differential bore configuration and significantly larger pistons compared to Ksport's ProComp calipers. Forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, each caliper weighs just over 7 lbs and features integrated protection grooves for bridge tubes. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Due to their substantial size, the SuperComp calipers utilize four brake pads each. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design effectively dissipates thermal stresses caused by extreme heat, preventing disc warping or braking surface cupping. The unique slot design on the rotor efficiently expels gas and pad debris while reducing braking noise. Every rotor is heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. While cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily drivers for cooler operation, the slotted rotors included in this kit are ideal for vehicles with more track use. Included are Ksport SC5 Street Pads, made from NAOC ceramic material, designed for optimal street and occasional track performance with operating temperatures between 194°F and 1022°F. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more) and minimize noise and rotor wear compared to race pads, with an average coefficient of friction between .46 and .53.
