SuperComp Extreme Lightweight Forged Aluminum Caliper

This system integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continually cools and refreshes the brake pad surface during braking. At the core of this kit is the extreme lightweight SuperComp caliper, crafted from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. It features a differential bore configuration with substantially larger pistons compared to ProComp calipers. Standard components include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design optimizes pad wear and caliper rigidity, outperforming OEM designs. Stainless-steel brake lines are included to eliminate expansion under pressure, enhancing pedal feel and response. The SuperComp series calipers, due to their size, require four brake pads per caliper. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which effectively reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. This floating design also mitigates thermal stresses caused by extreme heat, preventing disc warping or surface cupping. Each rotor undergoes heat treatment and balancing before shipment to ensure peak performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler than slotted options, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. This kit comes standard with Ksport SC5 Street Pads, featuring NAOC ceramic material designed for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track conditions, with optimal operating temperatures between 194°F – 1022°F. These pads reduce brake dust by over 50% and minimize noise and rotor wear compared to race pads, offering an average coefficient of friction between .46 and .53. Optional Ksport RC5 Race Pads are available, constructed from carbon metallic material for extreme track conditions with optimal operating temperatures between 482°F – 1472°F; these are not recommended for street use.
