The Ksport SuperComp Rear Big Brake Kit is engineered to provide ultimate stopping power for your BMW 3 Series. This kit integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool the brake pads during use. The SuperComp caliper is constructed from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, featuring a differential bore configuration with larger pistons and opposing piston design for improved pad wear and caliper rigidity. It also includes aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly designed to reduce both rotating and unsprung weight, while also mitigating thermal stresses that can cause warping. The unique rotor slot design helps expel gas and pad debris effectively, and the rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler. Standard equipment includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, which are NAOC ceramic pads optimized for street and occasional track use. These pads offer a fast warm-up, reduce brake dust by over 50% compared to race pads, and minimize noise and rotor wear. Optional RC5 Race Pads, made from carbon metallic, are available for extreme track conditions but are not recommended for street use due to their high operating temperature requirements. The kit comes with CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets to ensure a direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper location.
