SuperComp Forged Aluminum Big Brake Kit

The SuperComp caliper, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, boasts a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers. It weighs just over 7 lbs and features protective grooves for bridge tubes, along with aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity, while stainless steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads due to its substantial size. This kit features a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight, while also mitigating thermal stresses that can cause disc warping or cupping. The rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Standard equipment includes cross-drilled rotors, ideal for daily-driven vehicles due to their cooler operating temperatures. An alternative is slotted rotors, recommended for more frequent track use. The standard Ksport SC5 Street Pads utilize NAOC ceramic material, offering optimal performance between 194°F–1022°F, with reduced dust and noise compared to race pads. Race Pads (RC5 carbon metallic) are available as an upgrade for extreme track conditions. This made-to-order big brake kit comes with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects.
