This kit features advanced brake technology to continually cool the brake pads during operation, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding conditions. The SuperComp caliper is a standout component, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum for a lightweight yet robust construction, weighing just over 7 lbs. It boasts a differential bore configuration with significantly larger pistons compared to ProComp calipers, enhancing braking force. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston caliper design offers improved pad wear and superior caliper rigidity over OEM systems, while the stainless-steel braided brake lines enhance pedal feel and response by preventing expansion under pressure. Due to the substantial size of the SuperComp caliper, each unit utilizes four brake pads. The system includes 2-piece floating disc assemblies, which reduce both rotating and unsprung weight. These floating discs also mitigate thermal stress, preventing warping or cupping of the braking surface under extreme heat. The unique rotor slot design aids in reducing braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use. Customization options include various caliper colors, rotor styles (cross-drilled or slotted), and pad types (street or race). A 12-month limited warranty covers manufacturer defects.
